Study in Aarhus, Denmark
If you are in doubt whether to study in Denmark, you have come to right place.
Probably you’ve already heard about Danes being among the happiest people. Denmark ranks really high when talking about social care, employee-satisfaction and welfare. According to the latest World Happiness Report, Denmark is positioned on the second place, surpassed only by Norway.
The survey has as main evaluation criteria the general social factors. But if you are wondering how exactly the researchers find out who is happy, here comes their explanation: "The rankings are based on answers to the main life evaluation question asked in the poll. This is called the Cantril ladder: it asks respondents to think of a ladder, with the best possible life for them being a 10, and the worst possible life being a 0. They are then asked to rate their own current lives on that 0 to 10 scale."
Besides the happiness question, the six criteria behind this survey are: GDP, corruption, life –expectancy, social support, generosity and freedom. Denmark has been in top 3 since the first World Happiest Report was published in 2012, and the survey supports the fact the happiness is the main trigger for social welfare and public policy.
On top of that, Denmark has high quality education which is offered for free to EU students!
